Session 1
Furniture Flipping with Adrienne Fiakas
September 24 - October 29, 2024
Join our After School Arts program with "Furniture Flipping"! During this course, students will work on furniture restoration and creative change by repurposing a piece of furniture. After thrifting for the perfect piece, students will learn how to change hardware, rewire, sand, strip wood, repaint, and more. Creative license will be encouraged to make their piece their own!
Ages 11-17
Cost: $52 for FCA Members, $65 for Non-Members
 
Session 2
Be Inspired! Cultural Art Practices
October 9 - 30, 2024
Join our After School Arts program with "Be Inspired! Cultural Art Practices". Learn more about Native American art and crafts such as Basketry, Rock Art, Sandpainting, and Weaving. Be inspired by the symbols and patterns reflected in their handiwork. Using a variety of materials such as pigment, clay, and cord, create your version of traditional crafts.
Ages 7-13
Cost: $52 for FCA Members, $65 for Non-Members

Class Registration & Cancellation Policy:
 
Class registrations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
Cancellation/Refund: The Floyd Center for the Arts will conduct classes for which an adequate number of students are registered. Class status is determined 1 week before the first date of the class, unless otherwise noted. Acceptance of payment does not guarantee that a class will run. If the Center must cancel a scheduled class, students who registered for such classes will be given the opportunity to transfer their payments to another course or receive a full refund of their tuition payment.
 
Student Withdrawals: Students withdrawing from a class before the cancellation period has ended, (one week prior to the start of class, unless otherwise noted) can receive a full refund or may transfer their payments to another class of their choice. Students who withdraw after the cancellation period has closed or after class has started, will not receive a refund. No partial refunds will be given for classes missed.
