The Board of Directors of the Floyd Center for the Arts seeks an experienced visionary Executive Director with a passion for the arts.
Successful candidate is a proven leader, skilled in fundraising, networking, and communication and collaboration, bringing experience in organization and financial management.
Responsibilities include:
Report to Board of Directors; share responsibility with BoD for Center’s achievement of it mission, strategic goals, and financial objectives
Oversee the coordination, marketing, promotion, delivery, evaluation and quality of programs, products and services.
Provide leadership in developing programmatic, organizational, and financial plans with the Board of Directors and staff, which assure the organization has a long range strategy that achieves its mission.
Oversee the management of employees and volunteers while maintaining a climate of trust, cooperation, and community.
Develop and oversee sound financial, tax, risk management, and fundraising policies appropriate for the current and future economy.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Facility with Microsoft Office suite.
Experience in: non-profit arts administration; fundraising; developing and executing long-range/strategic plans; working with a diverse community.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive inclusive, and energetic attitude
Effective leadership and team-building abilities
Clear understanding of balance sheets/nonprofit accounting standards.
Grant writing
Preferred qualifications:
Facility with technical infrastructures
Experience with facility management including maintenance
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
Experience with event planning and/or obtaining corporate sponsorship event underwriting
Donor development experience
