Plein Air 2024 Recap (Sept 22-Sept 28, 2024)

What an unforgettable week at the 4th Floyd Plein Air Biennial! Despite the challenges posed by the hurricane, our incredible artists inspired us with their creativity and resilience.

The Floyd Center for the Arts extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this remarkable event, especially Event Chair Joli Ayn Wood for her leadership and Judge Laura McManus. We’re grateful for our dedicated staff, enthusiastic volunteers, supportive patrons, and board members whose hard work was essential to our success. A special thanks to those who provided housing for our artists, and to the talented creators who turned a rainy week into stunning art. Finally, thank you to our wonderful community for your generous hospitality, warmly welcoming artists as they explored our beautiful rural areas!
