April 12 - July 5 | Floyd Center for the Arts - Falcon Gallery

Experience a showcase of artwork by the Floyd Figures Art Group, a collective that has fostered creativity and community for over three decades. "Through Our Eyes" highlights the diverse perspectives of local artists, all rooted in a tradition of life drawing and artistic exploration.
A Legacy of Creativity
Founded in 1986 by artists Catherine Pauley, Sue Clinger, Rick Cooley, and Charlotte Lou Atkins, the Floyd Figures Art Group began as a response to the desire for life drawing sessions that the founders had enjoyed in college. What started with a few artists and models has grown into a welcoming, non-instructional community that continues to inspire new and seasoned artists alike. The group meets every Friday at the Floyd Center for the Arts, where they draw inspiration from an eclectic mix of models—friends, neighbors, travelers, musicians, dancers, and even Renaissance fair participants.
Opening Reception
We invite the public to the Opening Reception on April 19 from 4-6pm. Meet the artists, explore their work, and celebrate the creativity that has flourished through this incredible community of artists.
