We’re thrilled to announce that the Floyd Center for the Arts won the Southwest Virginia Tourism "Excellence in Tourism Partners - Outstanding One-Day Event of the Year" award for our 1st Floyd Living Traditions Festival in 2023! A big thank you to Floyd Tourism for the nomination.
This festival is all about raising Awareness, fostering Appreciation, encouraging Participation, and sparking Inspiration around Appalachian traditions and heritage. We couldn’t have achieved this without the amazing support from Floyd Country Store’s Handmade Music School, our dedicated volunteers, and the entire community.
We also want to extend our gratitude to the Mid Atlantic Arts Central Appalachia Living Traditions Program, Virginia Humanities, and Thomas & Wall Real Estate for their generous support towards our 2023 Festival. We deeply appreciate all the community enthusiasm and commitment to celebrating these rich traditions!
