The Floyd Center for the Arts’ 24th Annual Winterfest Holiday Celebration will be held on December 1 & 2, 2018 – Saturday, 10:00am- 5:00 pm and Sunday 11:00am- 5:00pm along with other community celebrations.
As last year, the dates are both Saturday and Sunday, which offers a second shopping day and provides more opportunity for sales and more options with any weather issues. We are excited to celebrate the 24th Winterfest! Our festival will include local art and crafts exhibits, refreshments, children’s activities and other festive activities. Other businesses and organizations in Floyd will also be hosting special events that weekend and there will be cross promotion efforts with Winterfest to highlight the weekend events. The Festival of Trees was a huge success in 2017 and will return this year, as well.
All artisans – including past participants – who want to exhibit this year will need to apply and go through the application process. Applicants will need to provide photos or links to website or Facebook page. Items for sale must be hand-crafted by the exhibitor. There is a discount on booth space fees for Floyd Art Center members. Winterfest applications are linked below and also available at the center. Applications and fees are due by October 5, 2108 and artisans will be notified by October 19 regarding their acceptance status.
Artists, please note: This year the Floyd Christmas Parade will be held on Sunday, December 2. This will unfortunately cause the road to be closed between approximately 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm. While we can’t do anything to change that situation, we will be sure to let our visitors know about it, so they are not caught off guard. This could also mean that the Winterfest event is very busy between 11 am – 2:30 pm, as well as during the last half hour of the day on Sunday. And, it could quite possibly bring us extra visitors, who are already coming to town for the parade and decide to shop with us! Please feel free to contact Becky at 540-745-4873 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss this, or with any other questions, comments or concerns you may have.
We look forward to seeing you here soon!
