Halloween Kidsfest: Sunday, October 23!

This year’s family-friendly seasonal event is bigger and better than ever! Begun by Chris Shackelford back in 2001, Halloween Kidsfest has been a free community service for 14 years. 2016 will be no different with many traditional aspects and several new activities for all ages! Come for the tots, come for the frightening fun, come for the games and make-it-yourself workshops: Sunday, October 23, 1 to 4 PM all around the center. Returning from years past will be face painting,  fortune-telling, ghoulish garb, pumpkin painting, and sweet as well as savory treats and refreshments. There will be a Costume Parade (possibly 2 of them!), and the FREAKY PHOTO BOOTH! Children can pose before the freaky set-up and have their photos taken — and then will be able to hand-decorate the photos to use as personalized door signs for their rooms, or as seasonal cards, or as gifts for grandma and grandpa. Whatever participants make will be taken home with them at the end of the day. So mark your calendars and bring the whole family for costumed fun and games!
