As a community center for the arts, we are committed to furthering our community’s experience in the arts by offering new open studio times. We are now holding an open studio in drawing & painting, ceramics and glass. Please read more about each of these opportunities below!
Ceramics Open Studio: Thursdays, 12-5pm
The Pottery Studio will be open to all to use for a nominal fee of $5.00 per session. This charge is to cover the cost of materials and the use of Jax tools. There will be reclaimed clay (clay that has been reworked into good clay), glazes, throwing wheels, a slab roller, and sculpting tools for your use during this time. Participants may bring their own tools as well. They may purchase fresh clay from the center when available. If participants chose to fire a kiln, they will be required to pay the standard kiln firing fees. The Pottery Studio Manager, Cory Potrafka, will be on hand for answering any questions you may have, and also for giving demonstrations upon request. Beginners to advanced artists are welcome. Participants must pay in the front office beforehand.

Normally this open studio is held on the second Sunday of the month, however dates may vary. Sessions are limited to 5 participants and reservations are highly recommended. Participates must be at least 18 years of age and need to pay in the front office beforehand.
