The topic seems a good one for this time in the life of Floyd County. Please join us and encourage anyone who might be interested to do the same.
The topic for the next Floyd Art Dialogue (FAD) is “Creativity and Community”. Much writing and research has been done in the last decade about the relationship between creativity and communities and many communities have attempted to implement these ideas. To learn more about this development, search the Internet for “Creative Community”. FAD hopes to consider questions such as these: “Is creativity important in the life of a community – why or why not?” “If it is, how can it be nurtured, encouraged, and developed?” “Where do we see creativity at work in Floyd County and where would we like to see more of it?” “Is there ever too much creativity?”
FAD meets monthly at the Jacksonville Center – it is free and open to all who enjoy an hour of conversation about topics related to the arts.
Friday, Sept. 19, 12 noon – 1pm. Call Charlie Brouwer at: 540 250 2966 with questions about FAD or thoughts regarding this, or future topics.
