Haylofts, pigs, and pitchforks are subjects in an uncommon art exhibit opening this weekend at The Jax. The “Something About Barns” exhibit will feature art that may strike a chord for anyone who has spent time around barns, barn raising enthusiasts, or anyone who can appreciate the captivating view of rustic landscapes.
The exhibit will take place in our Hayloft Gallery, and all are invited to a free reception, 5-7 PM, Saturday, October 10. The event allows a chance for attendees to meet the artists. A cash bar and snacks will be available.
“There really is just something about barns,” said Leia Wood, Educational and Gallery Programming Director. “In honor of the 20th anniversary of the repurposing of a dairy barn into an arts center, we wanted to feature barn in all their stages of life, their glory and their decay. We hope that everyone who shares a love of barns will feel welcome to come and enjoy this unique exhibit.”
